Xenical is used together with a reduced-calorie diet and weight maintenance to treat obesity. The recommended dose of orlistat is one 120 mg capsule taken with water immediately before, during or up to one hour after each main meal. How it works

It works by blocking chemicals (enzymes) in your gut which digest fat. Nearly a third of the fat that you eat is blocked by orlistat. This drug works but you need to be aware of the side affects. Xenical 120 mg capsule inhibits enzymes responsible for the breakdown of fat in intestine. Xenical 120 mg capsule thereby preventing the digestion and absorption of fats from intestine.

Common side effects

Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor. Stop using orlistat and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
Allergic reaction, Back pain, Body ache, Difficulty in controlling bowel movements, Light colored stools, Dark colored urine, Diarrhoea, Fever, Anxiety, Headache, Irregular menstrual cycle, Jaundice, Ankle swelling, Limb swelling, Nausea, Rectal pain, Rectal discomfort, Sticky stools, Stomach pain, Stomach pain / epigastric pain, Vomiting, Weakness, Yellow discoloration of skin.

Do not use Xenical if you are pregnant. Stop taking Xenical and tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Weight loss is not recommended during pregnancy, even if you are overweight or obese.
The capsule is imprinted with black. Each capsule contains a pellet formulation consisting of 120 mg of the active ingredient, orlistat, as well as the inactive ingredients microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, sodium lauryl sulfate, povidone, and talc.
